Single Origin Coffees

As its name suggests, single origin beans are harvested from a single place, usually a certain country or region. One example would be our Brazil Seven Falls RFA, which essentially means that all its beans were harvested and processed in Brazil, at the Seven Falls State, on a specific micro-region known as “Sul de Minas”.

Another important aspect of origin coffees is the variability in the flavour profiles year to year or sometimes crop to crop depending on a multitude of weather or processing variabilities. For example, cooler than average temperatures can slow coffee maturation and in turn, can develop more sweetness, body, acidity, flavour and complexity.
